We’re thrilled that you’ve decided to adopt your new best friend from WC4P. We take great pride in finding good homes for the animals in our care. Please take the time to review the information on this page. It will help you make the right selection for your household. After all, a pet can be your companion for up to 20 years.
Your new family member
All adoptable pets at WC4P have already been spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped, dewormed, flea free, and started on heartworm preventative. They are current on vaccinations and other necessary medical care. While all animals have been thoroughly checked by our veterinarians, we cannot guarantee the health of any animal.
Adoption fees are charged to help us offset some of our costs for caring for the animals we have in our rescue. They help us to ensure that animals are in good health, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and loved. Fees to adopt individual pets can vary by season, the type of animal, & age. In general, dog adoption fees range from $55 – $250.
The vast majority of dogs have an adoption fee of $200. Cats can range from a donation to $80, depending on the time of year. At special events, we often reduce adoption fees. Please check our social media pages for adoption specials.
All persons must be 18 years of age or older to adopt a pet. We require an application prior to meeting your new family member. The application helps us get a feel for your family and if the animal you want to adopt is a good fit. All members of your household needs to be present at the meet and greet.
In addition, if you plan to adopt a dog and already have a canine family member, you must bring him or her along for a meet and greet.
Call our Adoption Department for more information or if you have questions. We do not limit adoptions to any particular geographic area and, in most cases, you can leave with your new family member the same day you meet him or her!
Please contact the adoption coordinator at 309-443-7212 with questions about the adoption process or animals you are interested in meeting.
